Is It Right for Me?

Who is NewBiz Index for?
Anyone who sells to businesses that are just getting set up: insurance agents, bookkeepers and accountants, merchant services and payment processing, payroll and HR services, commercial real estate brokers, IT and office equipment services, signage and print, commercial cleaning, marketing and web design, lending, business brokerage, and vending and ATM placement.
How current are the files?
Delivery is weekly: an email every Monday of the month with the prior week's new business information. Every file covers the immediately prior week.
Is every record a brand-new business?
A record isn't always a brand-new business. It can be an existing business adding or renewing a business name, or retiring one. Each one is a reason to reach out.
Which counties do you cover?
Six California counties today: Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, Sacramento, and San Diego. Coverage is expanding! See state and county coverage.
How many new businesses will I get?
It depends on the county and the week. Larger counties record more new businesses than smaller ones, and every new record in your plan's counties is in your file. Nothing is held back.

What's in the Files

Does every record have an email or phone number?
No, and we'd rather you know before you buy. Email, phone, and website are included where the business itself has published them. About 22% of records include at least one published contact (email, phone, or website), about 22% have a business website, and about 10% include an email. When we can't be sure a contact belongs to the business, those fields ship blank. We never guess.
Do The Records Include Phone Numbers And Email Addresses?
Yes, on some records, but not all. Published email addresses appeared on 6–13% of records depending on county, about 10% overall. At least one website-sourced contact — an email, phone number, or website with a verified contact page — appeared on 10–31% of records depending on county, about 22% overall. We include contact details only when the business publishes them on its own website, and we provide the source page. Sacramento is a separate case: its county records provide a phone number on about 99% of entries. A published phone number does not necessarily reach the owner personally. If we cannot confirm a contact, we leave that field blank.
What's in a record?
Each record gives you the business name, plus the email, phone, and website the business published, where it has.
Why are some cells blank?
Two reasons. Not every county provides the same details, and many new businesses haven't published an email or phone yet. When we can't be sure a contact belongs to the business, those fields ship blank. We never guess.
Can I see a sample first?
Yes. Get the free sample. It's laid out like the files subscribers receive. The data in it is about a year old, so treat it as a look at the format, not as current leads.

Getting Your Files

When do files arrive?
Delivery is weekly: an email every Monday of the month with the prior week's new business information. The Monday email brings your file with a short preview. Download links are yours alone and expire after 14 days. If one lapses, ask for a fresh one and it goes to your email on file.
Do I need to log in anywhere?
No. There's no account to log in to. Your files come to your inbox. Billing is handled in Stripe's customer portal.
What do I get with the One Week Download?
One county, one week, bought once. You pick the county at checkout. It's one week of new businesses in that county, so you can work a real week before you subscribe.

Prices and Billing

How do I change my card, get an invoice, or cancel?
Use Manage billing. Billing is self-service through Stripe: update your payment method, download invoices, or cancel. Cancelling takes effect at the end of your billing period.
What are founding prices, and how long do they last?
Founding prices are for the first subscribers. Founder's Circle: the first 15 subscribers keep founding prices for life. In return, they agree to a feedback call at 30 days (15 to 20 minutes), an honest review, and permission to use their testimonial. Charter: subscribers 16–100 keep founding prices for 12 months, with nothing asked in return. When a ring fills, list prices replace founding prices for new subscribers.
Is the $19 One Week Download a subscription?
No. It's a single purchase that never renews. County and Regional are the monthly subscriptions.
What if I need more than three counties?
Ask about Enterprise. Contact us with the counties you sell in, and we'll reply with pricing.
Can I change my county or counties?
Yes. Email support@newbizindex.com with the county or counties you'd like, and we'll confirm.

Using the Data

Can I use the data for insurance?
Yes, for marketing. Reaching businesses about coverage is a normal, permitted use. It can't be used for underwriting, or for any other eligibility decision: credit, employment, or tenant screening.
Can I share or resell the files?
You can share them with your own team for your own prospecting. They can't be redistributed, resold, sublicensed, or posted publicly.
What if a business asks to be removed or corrected?
Email support@newbizindex.com. If a listed business asks to be removed or corrected, we pass that on to subscribers, who must honor it.
